With the official launch of the all-new Elementa battery cabinet, Trina Storage announces plans for vertical integration, implementing the LFP Gigafactory cell

MUNICH, May 10, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Trina Storagethe vertically integrated battery energy storage solution provider, today announced the official launch of its new product – The all-new Elementa, a flexible, safe and high-performance BESS with up to 25% more cycles and cost savings.

The modular, intelligent storage solution is suitable for network-wide installations. Fully integrated and pre-engineered with state-of-the-art LFP batteries, liquid-cooled thermal management system, battery management system, and fire detection and suppression systems, it is optimized for flexibility, smooth installation, and efficient maintenance. Elementa’s standardized design and factory-installed configuration can reduce installation times by up to 70%, reducing CAPEX.


Storage Trina ELEMENTA

Trina Storage further increases its battery manufacturing capacity to strengthen vertical integration, reduce average cost through economies of scale and improve cell performance with better production process control. These battery cells are produced in the Jiangsu Province, China. The cell manufacturing plant has a capacity of 3 GWh per year which will be increased to several GWh in the near future. Trina Storage has also implemented an integration base that allows for a customizable BESS design with an annual capacity of 5 GWh.

At this year’s Intersolar Europe show, Trina Storage will showcase the all-new Elementa and launch its next-generation battery storage solution. By using Elementa, customers can save up to 8% on CAPEX and OPEX. Coupled with a 25% increase in battery cycle, the total cost of ownership (TCO) is reduced by 25% per MWh compared to the Tier-1 market average.
