A senior Twitter executive has been secretly recorded mocking future owner Elon Musk for having Asperger’s Syndrome – prompting the billionaire to call him out on the platform.
“He has Asperger’s syndrome, so he’s special – you have special needs. You literally have special needs,” the honcho, identified by Project Veritas as Senior Client Partner Alex Martinez, said in a video posted Tuesday. by the point of sale.
“So I can’t even take what you say seriously,” Martinez added, complaining about the Tesla CEO’s mission to restore the social media giant’s free speech.
Musk then tore up Martinez’s derogatory remarks about the platform, which he offered to buy in a $44 million deal in April.
“Twitter director trashes free speech and mocks people with Asperger’s Syndrome…” the billionaire tweeted.
His response came in response to a tweet from Conservative columnist Benny Johnson, who cursed on social media: “Twitter executive calling Elon Musk mentally handicapped ‘special’ and saying he has ‘aspergers’.”
In his exchange with an undercover Project Veritas reporter, Martinez also said the social media giant isn’t there to give people free speech.
“The rest of us who have come here believe in something that is good for the planet and not just giving people freedom of expression,” he said.
“It’s going to be hard for him to say, ‘Uhhh, because people should make their own decision.’ It’s like, no, but people don’t know how to make a rational decision if you’re not posting correct things that are supposed to be public,” the Twitter executive continued.
Martinez went on to say that “advertisers are freaking out because of what he’s tweeting — like being, like, ‘I want free speech’…. Yadda, yadda, yadda.
A video of his comments was posted a day after Project Veritas shared a series of hidden camera clips of another Twitter employee admitting that the platform “censors the law” – and that he and his colleagues are ” Commie as f–k”.
“Twitter does not believe in freedom of expression. Élon [Musk] believes in free speech,” said lead engineer Siru Murugesan, who claimed many of his colleagues “hate” what could happen if the Tesla founder’s pending $44 billion takeover was materializing.
“Some of my colleagues are like super left, left, left, left, left,” Murugesan said, adding that many have threatened to quit if Musk takes over and applies his free speech model.
“Our jobs are at stake – he’s a capitalist, and we weren’t really acting like capitalists, more like socialists,” he said. “We’re all like Commie as f–k.”
“I think it’s like the environment, like you’re there and you become like this Commie — they call it ‘Commifornia,’” he said of the staffers’ nickname for California. awake.
According to Murugesan, people on the right are more likely to tolerate abusive messages while those on the left will simply refuse and leave the site.
