Prime Minister Viktor Orbán called a cabinet meeting after returning from the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas, Texas, where he delivered a speech on Thursday, the prime minister’s press chief said.
Orbán and the ministers discussed the latest developments in the war in Ukraine and the European energy crisis, Bertalan Havasi said.
MPs submit asset declarations on time
All members of the Hungarian parliament who have been sworn in as MPs have submitted their asset declarations by Friday’s deadline, the head of the immunity committee told MTI. János Hargitai noted in a statement that MPs, under a recent law, were now required to disclose their income and business shares rather than their assets.
The heads and deputy heads of the Court of Auditors, the Economic Competition Office and the members of the Competition Council, the heads of the Budget Council, the Public Procurement Council and its members, the Attorney General and his deputies, the governor of the national bank and its vice-governors, members of the Monetary Council and the supervisory board of the bank, the head and members of the Media Council are also required to submit such declarations under the law and did, Hargitai said.
