Marcos Jr’s spokesman, attorney Vic Rodriguez, said their side is “moving in the right direction” in completing the next administration’s cabinet.
“I know people are excited about the other names we will release, but the interview, vetting and research process is still ongoing to have a Cabinet that will truly address the issues we will be facing,” Rodriguez said. in an interview with Teleradyo.
“The election ended exactly one week ago. I think we are going in the right direction, with the appropriate speed,” he added.
So far, only two Cabinet members have been appointed – presumptive vice president Sara Duterte as education secretary and former Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Benhur Abalos as education secretary. inside.
Duterte was Marcos Jr’s running mate in the 2022 national election, while Abalos was the presumed president’s campaign manager.
Rodriguez added that some people are volunteering to serve on the Cabinet.
