Rabbids China-exclusive game coming soon to Xbox [updated]

Rabbids: Adventure Party, which is currently exclusive to the Nintendo Switch in China, will release next month worldwide and launch on Xbox as Rabbids: Party of Legends.

Update: Our scanners have just picked up the MS Store listing, which has a release date of June 30. There’s no pricing yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as we know more.

Original story: Ubisoft confirmed in its latest financial report that the 2020 Chinese exclusive, Rabbids: Adventure Party, will get a worldwide release (thanks, Eurogamer) on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia. Although it is getting a slight name change to Rabbids: Party of Legends.

The Rabbids Trailer: Party of Legends

Ubisoft hasn’t provided many details about the Rabbids: Adventure Party relaunch, but we assume it will be much the same as the original, which only launched in China for the Nintendo Switch in 2020. The game is based on the Chinese novel, Journey to the West, and sees the brave little creatures travel through time for chaotic fun and lots of mini-games.

The relaunch is set to take place sometime before the end of next month and will see it rebranded as Rabbids: Party of Legends. Ubisoft’s financial report notes that the game will have a retail and digital release during the first quarter of its current fiscal year, which ends June 30. It will also move away from being a Switch exclusive – the console is already getting Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope, so any other exclusives would just be Rabbids overload – and will launch on Xbox One, PS4, Switch, and Stadia.

We will keep you posted as soon as we have more details on this surprising news. Have you been craving some Rabbids action? Let us know in the comments!
