Porter ruled out for second half of Game 5 Warriors-Grizzlies

Otto Porter Jr. was ruled out for the remainder of Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies with right foot pain.

The Warriors made the announcement shortly after the start of the second half at FedExForum on Wednesday night.

The Warriors played a disastrous first half and trailed 77-50 at halftime.

Porter played 12 minutes off the bench in the first half but didn’t make much of an impact, scoreless on 0 of 3 from 3 points. He committed two fouls and was a minus-8.

Game 5 aside, Porter was extremely effective against the Grizzlies, especially in Game 3 when he was a plus-30 in 24 minutes off the bench.

If the Warriors aren’t able to make a historic comeback in Game 5, they’ll have to hope Porter is ready for Game 6 on Friday night at Chase Center.
