Next-Gen versions of The Witcher 3 are scheduled for release in Q4 2022

CD Projekt Red has announced that the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are set to release later this year.

In a Twitter post celebrating The Witcher 3’s 7th anniversary, the official Witcher account said, “We are thrilled to share that the Next Gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to release in Q4 2022.”

Last month, CDPR had to assure fans that the next-gen version of The Witcher 3 was “not in development hell” after the developer delayed the revamped version of the acclaimed RPG indefinitely.

The enhanced version, which will be released as a free update for owners of existing PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of the game, will visually and technically improve the RPG for those playing on PS5, Xbox Series X, and beefier PCs. . It was originally slated to release in late 2021, but faced delays on the way to launch.

The fourth quarter begins on October 1 and ends on December 31. CD Projekt therefore plans to launch in the last months of the year. It’s usually a busy time for video games, but with Starfield delayed to 2023, it’s one less gargantuan RPG to make do with.
