MQM-P worried about the slowness of the agreement

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi-Pakistan Movement delegation met on Monday with co-chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party Asif Ali Zardari to express their concerns about the slow progress in the implementation of the agreement signed between the MQM-P and PPP in Islamabad.

In the meeting held at Bilawal House Karachi, MQM and PPP leaders discussed inclusion in Sindh cabinet, empowerment of LG, delay in appointing Nasreen Jail as governor.

Sources told The News they had agreed to extend the date for the LB polls and were happy to induct the MQM-P into the Sindh cabinet. Zardari assured the MQM-P leadership that the PPP would keep its promise and also ordered Sindh CM to immediately lift the MQM-P reservations.
