Marvel Midnight Suns: A New Ranking Suggests It Could Be Released Soon

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is set to release soon after an official review in South Korea.

As reported by Video Games Chronicle, Reddit user LongJonSiIlver spotted the note (below) that considers the XCOM-style game suitable for ages 15+.

Games are usually only presented to ratings boards (like the ESRB and PEGI) once they are in a complete or nearly complete state so that an accurate assessment of suitability can be given, which means Midnight Suns may almost be ready for release.

The game’s rating and administration committee gave Midnight Suns its “suitable for ages 15+” rating because it includes foul language and violence towards living beings.

Combat in the game is largely similar to the rebooted XCOM series, but players take on the role of The Hunter, a customizable character that works with superheroes such as Iron Man, Ghost Rider, and Wolverine.

The inclusion of these characters was inspired by Marvel comics, and gameplay footage released in September of last year gives fans a good look at how Midnight Suns actually works, including its trading card system.

It was announced in August 2020 by developer Firaxis Games with an initial release date of March 2022, but a delay was later announced in November that pushed Midnight Suns into the second half of the year.

It’s slated to release on virtually every platform, including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
