Kellyanne Conway talks about a potential return to work at the White House

Kellyanne Conway, the former 2016 campaign manager and senior adviser to Donald Trump, says she wants the former head of state to still be in office, despite the impact working for his administration has had on his family. One day, Conway said, she would “still love to work in the White House again.”

“I would definitely serve the country again and I think the Trump/Pence administration has made great accomplishments for this country and many steps,” Conway told “CBS Mornings.”

In 2020, Conway announcement her departure from her job as a White House adviser to focus on family. At the time, she said her husband George Conway – a vocal critic of Mr. Trump after almost working for the then-president – would also bring changes.

She explained on Tuesday that her husband’s change of heart regarding his views on Mr Trump was an “unfortunate” and “sad” experience that she thinks other women will relate to. She said she thought they should have gone to couples therapy.

“It was next level,” Conway said. “And I will say this: George Conway’s vows are not to Donald Trump. He owes no loyalty or fidelity to any political party or to any certain president. It was for me and to honor and cherish him. .”

The former White House adviser said she and her husband “have a lot in common.” She says she spent time with him and their children together last weekend, but the two no longer wear their wedding rings.

“I think we all do what we want with our time,” she said.

Even so, Conway said she would “always like to serve at some level” in government. “I would love to get rid of Biden/Harris,” she said. “I think they didn’t do well.”

She described Trump as the “fulfillment of voters’ political wish.”

In his latest memoir “Here’s the Deal,” Conway delves into what happened behind the scenes at Trump’s White House. The book, published by an imprint of Simon & Schuster, a division of CBS parent company Paramount Global, is now available for purchase.
