Uttarakhand and Gujarat models will not apply to Karnataka: CM Bommai

The chief minister said he had been assured by the Shah that he would speak to party chairman JP Nadda and take appropriate decisions on expanding the cabinet. Given the evolving situation, a decision would be made in two to three days, he said.

“From my side, I gave all the contributions and now they will have to take a call. I explained the situation in the state. Next week is crucial. state are important,” he said.

He also said that the models of Uttarakhand or Gujarat will not apply in Karnataka and the expansion of the Cabinet will be according to the political scenario of the state.

Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi from Karnataka was also present at the meeting.

According to the sources, the final list in this regard reached the high command of the party. The high command obtained a survey of the ministers’ performance and popularity through its sources.

Meanwhile, opposition Congress leaders have already released statements that many top BJP leaders have approached them. Sources said the BJP high command was considering removing some non-performing ministers.

BJP National General Secretary BL Santhosh’s recent statement that leadership change is the BJP’s strength has sent ripples through the political halls of the state.
