Harley-Davidson suspends vehicle assembly and shipments for two weeks

Harley-Davidson will suspend nearly all vehicle assembly and shipments for a two-week period. This decision, made out of an abundance of caution, is based on information provided by a third-party supplier to Harley-Davidson late Tuesday (5/17) regarding a regulatory compliance matter regarding the supplier’s component. Harley-Davidson will suspend nearly all vehicle assembly and shipments for a two-week period.

The company released a statement Thursday morning along with the announcement, saying it had made the “decision to suspend all vehicle assembly and shipments (excluding LiveWire) for a period of two weeks. This decision, made out of an abundance of caution, is based on information provided by a third-party supplier to Harley-Davidson late Tuesday (5/17) regarding a regulatory compliance matter regarding the supplier’s component.”

LiveWire is Harley-Davidson’s electric motorcycle.
