New York Giants co-owner John Mara isn’t happy after the NFL schedule was released, but that has nothing to do with this year’s games.

Mara told the New York Post he was unhappy that the league had scheduled the Giants’ only Monday night football appearance for Sept. 26, which falls in the middle of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

“I’m well aware of that and I’m not happy,” Mara said. “I expressed my feelings to the league as soon as I saw the schedule. We have always asked the league to take into consideration the major Jewish holy days when formulating our schedule. I don’t know why. it happened this year.”
