‘Get ready for 2024’: PM meets Yogi cabinet, praises ‘bulldozer driving’ and law enforcement

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also asked ministers to spend maximum time in their constituencies and implement all government plans, sources say.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a brainstorming session with Yogi Adityanath Cabinet of Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow on Monday evening. During his meeting with the ministers of the UP, the prime minister said that only good governance paves the way to power. On this, he asked all the ministers of the State to devote themselves more to the service of the public.

The Prime Minister also told the UP cabinet that there is no more time for rest and everyone should start preparations for the 2024 elections in Lok Sabha, News18 has learned.

Sources said Modi also praised the Yogi Adityanath government’s “bulldozing campaign” against criminals.

The Prime Minister, while interacting with the UP ministers, said that the law and order situation of the state has improved under the rule of Yogi Adityanath and he congratulated the minister on boss for it. He also praised the efforts of the BJP-led state government in handling Covid.

Modi also asked ministers to spend as much time as possible in their constituencies and implement government programs. According to sources, he said there was a need to ensure government programs reached all who were eligible.

At the same time, the prime minister also advised all the ministers, including CM Yogi, that there was a need to work in coordination between the government and the organization, as the two were complementary.

Earlier on Monday, Modi traveled to Lumbini in Nepal, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. He also held bilateral talks with his Nepalese counterpart Sher Bahadur Deuba.

In the evening, the Prime Minister returned to Kushinagar where he had a worship program at Mahaparinirvana Sthali Temple of Gautam Buddha. After that he left for Lucknow.

Upon his arrival, he was received by Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

After the Yogi cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister posed for a group photo with CM Yogi, Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, and other ministers at the Chief Minister’s official residence on 5 Kalidas Marg in Lucknow.
