Game 7 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs: Rangers organizers Penguins and Flames take on the Stars on Sunday

After three Game 7s on Saturday, the thrilling 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs continue on Sunday with another pair of win-or-go games. These final two games will finalize the second round, making them must-watch TV shows for hockey fans.

The Pittsburgh Penguins and New York Rangers open the action Sunday at 7 p.m. at Madison Square Garden and on TBS. Pittsburgh had New York on the ropes early, winning three of four games and scoring seven goals in each of the last two games. Penguins star Sidney Crosby suffered a concussion in Game 5 and after missing Game 6 is back on the ice for Game 7 with goaltender Tristian Jarry, who missed last month due to a ‘a wound. A win would be massive for both teams, as Pittsburgh has lost in the first round or qualifying round in each of the last three playoffs while New York hasn’t won a playoff since 2017.

To close out the first round, the Dallas Stars and Calgary Flames face off at the Scotiabank Saddledome at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN2 and fuboTV (try it for free). The series has been a showcase for goaltenders so far, as Dallas’ Jake Oettinger is second in save percentage in this playoff while Calgary’s Jacob Markstrom is second in goals-against average. A victory for the Stars would send them to the second round for the first time since their Stanley Cup final in 2020, and Calgary is aiming for its first playoff victory since 2015.
