Shooting in Tulsa: five dead in the attack on a medical clinic

Four people were killed during an active fire situation at a medical facility in Oklahoma, according to reports.

Tulsa police say there were multiple casualties on the second floor of the medical building and the main shooter also died after the incident near St. Francis Hospital, according to KJRH.

“Earlier this afternoon, we responded to a call about a man with a rifle at the Natalie Building of St. Francis Hospital. It turned into an active shooter situation,” the Tulsa Police Department wrote on Facebook.

“At this point we can confirm that the shooter is down at this time. Officers are currently scanning all rooms in the building for additional threats. We know there are multiple injuries, and potentially multiple casualties. “

Tulsa Police are updating the shooting timeline.

ICYMI: Tulsa police say 911 dispatchers received the first call from the medical building from an active shooter at 4:52 p.m., with officers arriving three minutes later at 4:56 p.m.

Officials say officers made contact with the suspect and the victims at an orthopedic center on the second floor of the building at 5:01 p.m.

Muskogee bomb threat investigated after Tulsa police tip

The Muskogee Police Department said it received a tip from Tulsa police about a possible bomb in a home, according to 2News Oklahoma.

Residents were advised to take shelter and avoid the area near the Country Club.

The department did not specifically say it was linked to the shooting.

Tulsa gunman killed himself, report says

Tulsa City Councilman Jayme Fowler told 6News that police told him the shooter committed suicide during the incident.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with these three victims and our police force was trained, prepared for this, and it could have been even worse,” Mr Fowler said.

“What I know so far is that there are 4 dead so far, and one of them is the shooter, and they committed suicide, and there are three innocent bystanders who lost their lives.”
