A report on the windowless Apple car met with a heavy dose of mockery

The jokes flowed freely on Wednesday after the VR Scout website reported that Apple may be considering a car design with an in-car virtual reality entertainment system and no windows.

Apple reportedly filed a patent on May 3 for the entertainment system, which could replace the view of the real world in a car with virtual environments. He noted that “self-driving vehicles may have limited or even non-existent windows, and therefore the movements passengers experience in these vehicles may not match what they see visually, potentially causing motion sickness” and proposed solutions to combat this.

The article featured a concept design of the Apple car produced by Concept Creator and Letsgodigital. It’s not Apple’s design.

Apple has been working on creating an autonomous vehicle for several years and has filed a number of relevant patents, but the company has kept its plans secret and has made no official announcement.

While the windowless design might not be realistic, Twitter users couldn’t help but take an interest in the concept.
